In 1997 Comdial Corporation was the second largest manufacturer of business telecommunication systems being named “Computer Telephony Solutions Provider of the Year" by Computer Telephony magazine. Along the way Comdial acquired Key Voice Technologies, American Phone Centers, Inc., and Aurora Systems, Inc. Like many companies, Comdial made mistakes during the dot com years and subsequently was sold to Vertical in 2005.
