Nitsuko has been catering to the communication needs of businesses in the United States since they began exporting Electronic Key Telephone Systems in 1978. In 2001 Nitsuko merged with NEC Key Telephone and POS Business and changed its name to NEC Infrontia Corporation. Nitsuko was distributing TIE equipment as well. TIE Communications was the first telecommunications company to put music on the line for people placed on hold. Many business environments still house TIE systems.
